1921

Foundation of the JENZ GmbH by the master blacksmith Hans JENZ.
Village blacksmith works, construction of coaches, trailers and small farming equipment.
1947

First gear-rack tipping lorryor the farming industry,prize-awarded by the DLG (German Farmers Association).
1955

First alternation of generations by the entry of Dip. engineer Wilhelm Hermeier, son-in-law of Hans Jenz, takes the management, his wife Therese is responsible for the accounting.
1959

First stationary JENZ Chipper.
1976

License agreement with the Finnish Algol company for the production of stationary JENZ chippers in Finland.
1977

First heavy mobile chipperin cooperation with Algol.
Driven by 220 kW Scania – motor.
1986

First JENZ waste grinder for green waste from separate collection.
1987

Second alternation of generations:
Dip. Oec. Uwe Hempen-Hermeier, son-in-law of Wilhelm Hermeier and his wife Anna Hermeier get into the enterprise.
1989

Waste grinder AZ 50 with more than 300 PS. At that time the strongest machine of this type.
1991

The AZ 60 with more than 500 hp is machine no. 1000.
1992

Mobile chipper HEM 25 with PTO drive.Dip. Oec. Uwe Hempen-Hermeier becomes an active partner and his wife Anna Hermeier has procuration and conducts the accounting.
1997

New further development AZ 55 replaces the waste grinder AZ 50.
2001

On the Agritechnica JENZ presents the first HEM 560 Z. The machine becomes the most successful mobile chipper so far.
2002

Market leader in Germany in the field of heavy mobile chippers.
2003

The AZ 660 is presented, first waste grinder of the new generation.
2005

With the HEM 1000 JENZ produces the largest mobile chipper in Europe at that time.
2006

AZ 960 with 1000 mm feed opening is presented.
2007

Delivery of the first JENZ chipper truck – JENZ HEM 561 R mobile chipper driven by the MAN carrier vehicle.
Presentation of the HEM 1000 DXL during "open day". Manufacture of the first HEM 581 Z with 1200 mm in take width.
2008

Twin Gear is introduced as new drive conceptwith different rotational speeds.
Completion of hall extension with assembly and storage area of 1000 m².
2009

2009 The series HEM 820 is presented during the Agritechnica. The worldwide largest Chipper with PTO drive from this series has been designed for the new 400 PS strong super tractors.
The new double motor technology for truck chippers allows to use a total of 630 kW (857 PS) for the new drive.
Introduction of the new machine control easygreen.
2010

Introduction of the conveyor belt discharge for PTO driven chippers for more profitability.
Certification according to DIN ISO 14001.
2011

Completion and patent registration of the easy hammer system for waste crushers and biomass processors.
Finishing of the new logistics hall – 1,700 m² covered storage area
First hydraulic blower for a constant, energy-efficient and high-quality chip discharge is presented.
Introduction of the exhaust level IIIB for add-on diesel motors.
2012

With the introduction of the BA 715 and of the HEM 540 R truck new emphasis is placed on lighter and more efficient machines.
Extension of the photovoltaic system to 380 kWp. Thus the company is financially self-sufficient with regard to energy.
2013

The 3000. machine is delivered. The HEM 582 R truck with centric blower
Presentation of the machine series HEM 540 as professional entry machine
Completion of the own brake control plant, which is acknowledged by the German Technical Control Board.
2014

Presentation of the PTO shaft-driven HEM 593 Z on the Interforst in Munich. The first mobile chipper of the series HEM 593 with the widest draw-in table (1.40 m) makes processing of bulky material and thick trunks easier.
2015

Presentation of the first Cobra mobile chipper HEM 821 DQ Cobra+ hybrid with rotating cab and hybrid technology.
Construction of the new surface treatment centre with new painting, drying and spray cabins is completed at the headquarters in Petershagen-Wegholm.
The new representative location of JENZ Austria in the industrial area Kasten is completed and was formally inaugurated.
2016

Presentation of the new biomass processor BA 915 D with swiveling conveyor belt for comfortable maintenance access.
Start of the construction of the new entrance hall at the headquarters in Petershagen. Just before Christmas a fire destroys the adjoining sales building and damages the new entrance hall. Demolition and new construction of the new buildings will take place in 2017.
2017

The Chippertruck 2.0 with automatic transmission and main drive optimized for chipping is presented at the Agritechnica. With the new easy2 JENZ is presenting the successor to the easygreen machine controler.
2018

Presentation of the biomass processor BA 615. The smallest JENZ shredder rounds off the lower end of the product range.
In the range of mobile chippers JENZ is introducing the series HEM 841 with 1.40 m feeding weidth.
Completion of the new entrance hall and office building.
2019

Successful JENZ Professional Days with 800 invited guests and more than 2.500 visitors during the Open door days.
Completion of the JENZ handover hall for professional machine handovers to the customer.
Presentation of the new Chippertruck 2.1 Professional Line, with many innovative detailed solutions for the machine operator.
2020

Next Level Shredding - New generation of shredders with the green waste specialist BA 916 D and the all-rounder BA 926 D raises shredder technology to a new level.
Corona keeps the whole world in suspense. JENZ got through the crisis comparatively well. The Green Deal presented by the EU sets the course for the time after Corona.
2021

JENZ will be 100 years old on January 6th.
The company's advisory board appoints Elisabeth Holland and Hans Heinrich Hermeier as additional managing directors of JENZ GmbH on July 1st. Uwe Hempen-Hermeier withdraws from the operative business.
