New biomass processor BA 615 D shows its size
The "smallest" JENZ shredder at work
Petershagen (ghm). In May 2018 JENZ presented the new BA 615 D biomass processor. The dual-axle vehicle extended the shredder product range and is extremely convincing with the highest in quality, improved manoeuvrability and enormous power despite its small size. The first machines have now left the Petershagenproduction works. That's a good enough reason to take a look at the initial deployment experiences. Thomas Huntgeburth, Managing Director of the Kalkwerk Herbsleben Erdenwerk GmbH & Co. KG, and Dominik Meden, product manager at JENZ, report about their personal experiences.
Managing Director Thomas Huntgeburth (Kalkwerk Herbsleben) took over a new BA 615 D in 2018:
"We have had a JENZ AZ 35 in use since 1996. At first we wondered whether overhauling the AZ 35 would make sense. Then JENZ made us the offer of demonstrating the new BA 615 D live on site at our lime works so that they could present it and test it under real conditions. We were very impressed by the demonstration, and although the bunker on the BA 615 D is smaller than that on our previous AZ 35 we decided to buy the machine. Since then we've been producing extremely constant grain sizes with a very low proportion of oversize grains with the BA 615 D. Since we didn't have time to overhaul the AZ 35 or wait for the production of a new BA 615 D, the possibility of taking over the demonstration machine was decisive in the end.
