As part of the international Forstmesse in Lucerne 2019, the chipper specialist JENZ presents a real highlight with the HEM 821 DQ Cobra hybrid. The HGV-chipper with Caterpillar C 18 engine is the strongest JENZ hacker ever built and was specially developed for large-scale industrial use. JENZ hybrid machines achieve enormous performance potential through the combined drive of the truck and the add-on engine. This results in a system performance of over 1,000 hp, consisting of the 500 hp from the HGV engine and the 776 hp of the add-on engine. "Whereas the 776 hp of the C 18 are reserved purely for driving the chipper drum," describes product manager Hans Heinrich Hermeier. The machine is mainly used in industry "where large quantities of wood are processed on site," explains Hans Heinrich Hermeier. "Due to its construction on a truck chassis, the machine is also very mobile and fully motorway compatible".
