We are currently looking for apprentices and dual students at our location in Petershagen, with training starting on 01.08.2024.

our apprenticeships

Our training is based on the dual system. This means that, depending on the occupation you are training for, you will be spending 1-2 days per week at trade school, and the other days at the company so that you can turn your acquired theoretical skills into practice.

During your apprenticeship as an industrial clerk, you will go through various commercial departments and get to know the respective business processes. 

This apprenticeship takes 3 years. During this time, you will be assigned to the following departments, among others: Sales, marketing, purchasing, logistics, production, spare parts sales, accounting and human resources.

During your apprenticeship as a metal worker, you will learn how to specifically manufacture and process metal and steel structures. You will follow the assembly of a JENZ machine from its very beginnings and gain intense insight into all areas of new machine production at JENZ. You will also learn how to fabricate your own welded components using a variety of welding techniques.

This apprenticeship takes 3.5 years. During this time, you will be assigned to our JENZ apprentice workshop and work in all areas of our new machine production at JENZ.

The apprenticeship for precision mechanics covers everything about metal-cutting production on lathes and milling machines. You will learn how to manufacture components for the production of our machines on CNC milling machines and how to install them in our new machine production. 

This apprenticeship takes 3.5 years. During this time, you will be assigned to our JENZ apprentice workshop and work in all areas of our new machine production at JENZ.

During your training as an agricultural and construction machinery mechatronics technician, you will learn about the structure, functions and repair of agricultural and construction machinery. You will be actively involved in maintenance and repair work on JENZ machines in our service workshop or during installation work at the customer's site.

This apprenticeship takes 3.5 years. During this time, you will be an integral part of our service workshop and learn all the skills needed to independently maintain and repair JENZ machines.

Our dual study programme

In cooperation with the Bielefeld technical college, we can offer you the opportunity to complete a practice-integrated degree programme. In this way, you can combine theoretical study phases with professional practice in the company. 

With a focus on technology

Mechanical engineering is a degree that focuses on the design, manufacture and development of machinery and equipment. You will learn how to design, build and maintain technical systems.

The practice-integrated mechanical engineering programme takes 7 semesters. Each semester consists of a 12-week theoretical phase at the Minden campus and an 11-week practical phase at our company headquarters in Petershagen. 

A combination of technology and business

Industrial engineering is an interdisciplinary degree programme that focuses on the interface between technology and business. Here you will learn how to develop and produce technical systems economically and efficiently.

The practice-integrated industrial engineering programme takes 7 semesters. Each semester consists of a 12-week theoretical phase at the Minden campus and an 11-week practical phase at our company headquarters in Petershagen.

Apprenticeship projects 

You will be taking part in extracurricular projects together with apprentices from different years and departments. You will be working independently on a topic in your project group, from the initial idea to its implementation in the company. Some of our projects have won great awards.

Excellent prospects

After completing your apprenticeship or dual study programme, there is a good chance of being taken on permanently, with the opportunity to start your career in a department of your choice, to help shape it and to continue your education.
