Simple
Compact Economical

The entry into the professional class of chipping.

With the HEM 5400 Z, JENZ offers an economical, compact entry-level model for all those who prioritise efficiency, durability and sophisticated technology - with manageable investment costs. Driven by the PTO shaft of a tractor up to 300 HP, the HEM 5400 Z is the ideal solution for contractors, forestry businesses, local authorities and biomass farms who want to reliably produce professional woodchippings - without having to invest in the upper class.

The outstanding feature of the HEM 5400 Z is the D1 rotor with a diameter of 820 mm, which is fitted as standard. This ensures extremely smooth running and enables optimum woodchippings even with low drive power.

The HEM 5400 Z represents the entry into the proven JENZ world - with high processing quality, sophisticated technology and a clear focus on economic efficiency.

Epsilon C60F86

JENZ chippers are equipped with a Palfinger Epsilon crane as standard, as those are robust and easy to maintain. Thanks to professional solutions, EPSILON cranes increase the chipper's productivity and allow the operator to fully concentrate on chipping. The M70F101 crane has a 10 m reach to be able to reach material that is further away. The optional splitter is used for any larger logs. As a result, no material is left unprocessed.

Hydraulic discharge

The hydraulic fan can be controlled continuously and independently of the speed of the chipping rotor and can therefore optimally adapt to operating conditions. This ensures more even chip discharge and reduces the load on the hydraulic system. The reduced fan speed reduces the abrasion on the wood chips, which lowers the fines content.

EASILY ACCESSIBLE

Ergonomic access and sufficient freedom of movement on the screen basket hood facilitate maintenance work, as does the foldable platform positioned under the screen basket hood. A tool storage box is optionally mounted directly on the rotor. It contains all the tools needed to change the cutters.

Unique in this machine class

Despite its small size, the HEM 5400 Z meets professional standards. One highlight is the hydraulic belt clutch, which can be used to actively engage the rotor. This function is unusual in this machine class. The advantage: work can be carried out on the rotor while the engine is running, as there is no connection between the engine and rotor.

Uniquely good

JENZ wood chipper are the ideal choice for companies that value economy, ease of use and flexibility. The chippers are fuel-efficient and take the burden off the driver thanks to ergonomic cab concepts and intelligent maintenance and control solutions.

D1.2
Drum

NEW: Now available for the first time in the low output class with D1.2 drum and adjustable forward grip up to over 40 mm forward grip. The robust D1.2 chipper drum impresses with its outstanding chip quality. The resharpenable knives ensure maximum efficiency and operational reliability. In addition, the high inertia of the D1.2 ensures very smooth running. This not only protects the drive train, but also leads to improved chip quality.

Optimised infeed for maximum efficiency

NEW: Now with aggressive bottom roller and new feed geometry as standard - for significantly easier feeding and noticeably improved feed behaviour.

easy2advanced
 Control System

The new easy2advanced machine control system is a comprehensive update of the familiar easy2 control system. It supports the driver with active feedback, enables flexible, user-orientated settings and ensures a reliable crop flow. This allows the machine to be used even more productively and efficiently.

CFA
Draw-in control system

Optional: Automatic adjustment of the intake speed depending on the rotor speed. The chipper runs in an optimal working range. This results in a uniformly high utilisation rate that is easy on the machine and achieves optimum chip quality.

IPS Impact Protection System

Optional: With the IPS (Impact Protection System), sensors detect inadmissible vibrations caused by foreign bodies such as stones or iron parts. The system activates a protection programme that, for example, stops material discharge in 0.8 seconds. This protects the machine from expensive consequential damage and reduces unplanned downtime to a minimum.
