The HEM 922 DL is the ideal JENZ large chipper for professional applications that require maximum flexibility. With a longitudinal feed and an intake height of 900 mm, which can be turned to the left or right as required, it adapts perfectly to different operating conditions.

The mobile chipper on a semi-trailer is approved for speeds of up to 80 km/h and can be easily transported with standard tractor units. This makes it possible to reach different locations quickly and efficiently. Large wheel loaders or material handlers ensure smooth loading.

Equipped with a powerful Caterpillar add-on engine with 812 hp, the HEM 922 DL delivers an impressive throughput of up to 430 lcm/h - even in continuous operation. This large chipper sets new standards in terms of reliability and efficiency.

easy2advanced
 Control System 

The new easy2advanced machine control system is a comprehensive update of the familiar easy2 control system. It supports the driver with active feedback, enables flexible, user-orientated settings and ensures a reliable crop flow. This allows the machine to be used even more productively and efficiently.  

D1.3
Drum

The D1.3 drum impresses with even higher efficiency and outstanding wood chip quality. The optimized chip discharge flow reduces the proportion of fines as well as material jams, while simultaneously lowering diesel consumption. The thickness knife system ensures consistently coarse wood chips, while the infeed setting via wedges allows precise adjustment. The regrindable knives ensure maximum service life and cost efficiency. Thanks to its high mass moment of inertia, the D1.3 runs exceptionally smoothly, protects the drivetrain, and consistently delivers first-class wood chips.

CFA
Draw-in control system

The CFA and CFA2 intake controls automatically adjust the intake speed to ensure that the chipper is utilised evenly and in a way that is gentle on the machine, and that the wood chips are of optimum quality. CFA adjusts the infeed speed depending on the rotor speed. CFA2 adjusts the infeed speed depending on the opening angle of the upper roller.

DIP 
Roller Pressure System

Due to the variable pre-load pressure of the upper roller, the chipper can adapt to any material. Shrub trimming, for example, requires a higher pressure, while logs are fed in almost without pressure. Thanks to its easy adjustment to respective requirements, the chipper works efficiently and achieves a consistent output.

Efficient screening technology

The innovative screen baskets reliably prevent excessive lengths with a minimum of fine particles. This is particularly noticeable in the processing of cut shrubbery, where the wood is often drawn in crosswise.

Smart 
Hydraulic

The CFA and CFA 2 intake control systems forward material-dependent information to the easy2 control system. The intelligent JENZ Smart Hydraulic system quickly and sensitively adjusts the intake speed. In addition, top roller pressure and the maximum intake speed can be set by the operator at the push of a button.

IPS Impact Protection System

With the IPS (Impact Protection System), sensors detect inadmissible vibrations caused by foreign bodies such as stones or iron parts. The system activates a protection programme that, for example, stops material discharge in 0.8 seconds. This protects the machine from expensive consequential damage and reduces unplanned downtime to a minimum.
