The HEM 922 DL terminal is a professional JENZ large chipper for the most demanding requirements. It has a longitudinal intake with an intake height of 900 mm. The name "Terminal" refers to semi-mobile use, for example in port terminals, thermal power stations or chipboard factories. At the same time, changing locations can be reached easily and quickly, because the mobile chipper on semi-trailer is approved for speeds of up to 80 km/h and can be transported with common tractor units. Feeding is done by large wheel loaders or handling excavators.

The HEM 922 DL Terminal features powerful chipping in continuous operation. The Caterpillar add-on engine with 812 hp enables highest throughput rates of up to 500 srm/h.

 Control System

The easy2 machine control system is clearly laid out, can be operated intuitively and offers a number of advantages that simplify everyday work. Almost all functions of the chipper can be individually set via the fully integrated easy2TOUCH display. For example, limit values can be defined or user profiles can be created.

Drum

Whether fine or coarse chips, the robust D1.2 cutting drum convinces with outstanding chip quality. The regrindable blades enable maximum economy and operational reliability. In addition, the high inertia of the D1.2 ensures very smooth running. This not only protects the drive train, but also leads to improved chip quality.

CFA
Draw-in control system

The CFA and CFA2 intake controls automatically adjust the intake speed to ensure that the chipper is utilised evenly and in a way that is gentle on the machine, and that the wood chips are of optimum quality. CFA adjusts the infeed speed depending on the rotor speed. CFA2 adjusts the infeed speed depending on the opening angle of the upper roller.

Roller Pressure System

Due to the variable pre-load pressure of the upper roller, the chipper can adapt to any material. Shrub trimming, for example, requires a higher pressure, while logs are fed in almost without pressure. Thanks to its easy adjustment to respective requirements, the chipper works efficiently and achieves a consistent output.

Efficient screening technology

The innovative screen baskets reliably prevent excessive lengths with a minimum of fine particles. This is particularly noticeable in the processing of cut shrubbery, where the wood is often drawn in crosswise.

Smart 
Hydraulic

The CFA and CFA 2 intake control systems forward material-dependent information to the easy2 control system. The intelligent JENZ Smart Hydraulic system quickly and sensitively adjusts the intake speed. In addition, top roller pressure and the maximum intake speed can be set by the operator at the push of a button.

IPS Impact Protection System

With the IPS (Impact Protection System), sensors detect inadmissible vibrations caused by foreign bodies such as stones or iron parts. The system activates a protection programme that, for example, stops material discharge in 0.8 seconds. This protects the machine from expensive consequential damage and reduces unplanned downtime to a minimum.
